They are simply victims of circumstances they didn’t have the power to control. Suddenly, men and women; boys and girls who were once in control of everything lost control, especially the control of what and when to eat; cloths to wear and even the freedom to look for these things for themselves.
Today, they need food to eat. Tomorrows, they will also need food. Next tomorrow, the same. That is the harsh reality that we cannot do anything about. But we know that there is a little we can do, which is to do the little we can do, no matter how insignificant.
Therefore, once every month, BCC takes food, cloths, language tutors and spiritual counsellors to the refugees in Belgium and we also use the opportunity to create awareness about the challenges of refugees in our time. We may not solve all their challenges but we can solve some of them.
